Spanish tapas bar and kitchen, La Tasca, has been awarded for its gluten-free friendly menu this month, as the Healthy Food Guide crowned the restaurant ‘Best for Gluten-Free’ in the magazine’s annual Healthy Eating Awards.
The awards involved a host of leading restaurants being put to the test, as a panel of expert judges from the monthly magazine blind tasted a range of dishes from the shortlisted restaurants’ menus. La Tasca pipped its competitors to the post as it scooped ‘Best for Gluten’ for its main menu, which features over 34 gluten-free dishes.
La Tasca, which has 64 restaurants throughout the UK, launched its gluten-free friendly menu in February 2012 in a bid to make its offering more inclusive for people with varying dietary needs. The restaurant’s main menu also features 24 vegetarian dishes and a range of vegan dishes.
